Professionally:

I am an Investor Coach and Estate Planning Attorney as well as an Investment Adviser Representative with Mathies Financial Partners. As an Investor Coach I help my clients understand the importance and nuances of prudent investing in order to avoid the traps of stock-picking, market timing and track record investing.  As an Attorney, my practice focuses on providing comprehensive estate planning regarding your business, money and family. Teaching important principles upon which prudent investing is based enhances the opportunity that you will actually have an estate to distribute to your heirs. I have clients in many different states—owning real estate and other assets in 39 different states.  It is an honor to be named a FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager for several years. This honor is reserved for the top wealth managers in the Denver area. When it comes to strategies that affect your business, money, and family, I offer a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Educational:

I received my Juris Doctorate Degree from the Brigham Young University Law School.  My undergraduate schooling included classes at the University of Puget Sound, Chaminade University, University of Hawaii and Brigham Young University, culminating in a BA Degree in Political Science from BYU.   I am a trained investor coach—someone who may need to tell you what you don’t want to hear, or help you see what you can’t see. My education, training and experience help my clients enrich the quality of their lives through proper estate planning and prudent investing.

Personally:

My wife, Joy, and I live in Centennial, Colorado, and have been married over 35 years. We have five children and a growing collection of grandchildren (23—yes 23). The grandsons are handsome, the granddaughters are beautiful and all are highly intelligent—traits they inherited from their lovely and brilliant grandmother.  I love a good round of golf and associating with people with a good sense of humor. I play the drums – and especially like accompanying music performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who and Bob Seger. In our community, I serve as the President of the Board of Directors for Aurora Interfaith Community Services (Aurora’s largest food pantry), and I actively participate in service opportunities and church activities.

Professionally:

I maintain the financial records for Jeffrey R. Young & Associates as Bookkeeper (Payables & Receivables). I spent ten years as Public Affairs Director in the Denver area, meeting and working together with people of all religious traditions in our community. I hold a bachelors degree in English from Brigham Young University, plus I am a published poet and author who worked as an assistant editor for Computers in Healthcare Magazine. I also love music and have taught Shaak Method piano lessons for over twenty years to more than 100 students.

Personally:

I grew up in San Diego, and have lived in Colorado for 28 years. I love playing the piano, discovering family members in my family history, reading and writing. I’m active in my Church, where I have served in many capacities, from playing the piano for meetings to working on a Church-wide writing committee. I’m the mother of five great people–two daughters and three sons–all of whom are talented, college-graduated and married to their sweethearts. We have been blessed with 23 grandchildren– 11 grandsons and 12 granddaughters– who are following in their parents’ footsteps. All the years of managing a large household—meals, laundry, baseball games, brownies, scouts, music lessons, etc.—prepared me well to lend a hand at Jeffrey R. Young & Associates because a good life (and a good business) is certainly made in the details.

Client Services & Office Manager

Professionally:

I am the primary point of contact for all clients of Jeffrey R. Young & Associates and Mathies Financial Partners. In addition to managing our daily operations, I also coordinate all administrative, marketing, and client support services to maximize business efficiency and improve the client experience. Prior to joining the team, I managed chiropractic clinics that specialized in auto collisions and sports medicine. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University in 2015, having majored in Business Administration and minored in both marketing and organizational communications. My background is in marketing, nonprofit consulting, and technology.

Personally:

I was born in Taiwan and grew up in Indiana, the Crossroads of America. I met the love of my life and now-husband, Ethan, while we were both students at Ball State. After graduating, we moved to Colorado in 2015 with our little puggle, Max, whom we had adopted from a shelter a year prior. I enjoy exploring new places, trying new restaurants or foods, and learning new things. I like art and design, music, geek culture, anthropology, and philosophy. My interests are varied and my ambitions are big; I defy stereotypes and redefine expectations. I have a passion for helping people and businesses excel.
